Many consider the placenta to be a powerful and sacred medicine full of life force. Placenta medicine has been known to ward off the blues and postpartum depression, shorten bleeding time, restore and balance hormones, nourish the blood, replenish depleted iron, increase energy, boost immunity, enhance milk production, and generally reduce overall recovery time from labor and birth.

Using the Traditional Chinese Medicine Method, the placenta is steamed, dried, ground, and encapsulated. A placenta makes 150-250 capsules that can be used in the postpartum, during transitional times, and in menopause. Medicinal tincture, placenta prints, and cord keepsakes can also be created.

Placenta medicine is a lovely way to honor and preserve the energetic nature of the organ that nourished your baby in the womb.
